The Secret Home Made Anti wrinkle cream.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret of mine. I have been perfecting this little face recipe for several years now. My mother swears by it, my sister wont use anything else, and all of my friends are in on it. In fact, i seem to be spending alot of my time making this for them all now.

This is a 100% chemical free face lotion, As far as im concerned the only chemicals that help with facial anti-aging are the ones that come in a needle and go in your facial muscles.

So are you ready to discover a fresher faced you? lets get on with it.

Ingredients for one weeks worth:

  • Coconut Oil x 3 tablespoons (Virgin palm oil works just as well)
  • Natural Bee's Honey x 2 Tablespoons.
  • 1/2 Cucumber Skinned (about 3 inches long)
  • 8 leaves of Mint (Fresh seems best)
  • 1 small Bananna (out of the skin)
  • 2 tablespoons of spring water
  • 4 coffee beans (or 1 teaspoon of freezdried coffee)
  • 2 sprigs of coriander.
  • Bottle of sparkling spring water.

This is best to be done in a blender of smoothie maker, by hand will not get it creamy enough.

Place the Coconut Oil, Honey, Spring water and mint into the blender/smoothie maker and blend until the mint is broken into tiny pieces. Next add the coffee and give it a whizz about. Add the cucumber and corriander, and finally the bannana. Keep it mixing until it turns in to a smoothe fluffy rich cream.

Empty the contents in to a tupperware box and place in the fridge to store and cool.

Next..... this is important to do before placing the serum to your face.

Take some mint, about 10 leaves and mix with a few tablespoons of water until broken down to tiny pieces. Take some sparkling mineral water from the fridge and add to the mint water. Take a cloth and cleanse your skin with this. It will remove all the oil from the surface of your skin and open your pores up.

Take to mixture you made from the fridge and apply to your face, apply like a face mask. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with clean warm water.

Finally fill the sink basin with icy cold clean water and place your full face in it for 20 seconds.

Pat dry your face with a clean towel.

apply 2-3 drops of coconut oil to your palms and rub together, and lightly rub on to your face before bed.

You will notice a difference within 2 weeks, your skin will be bright and clear, blotchy patches and irritation will clear up, and fine lines will soften greatly.

And better still, if you use this in your hair like a hair masque, it will treat damaged split ends, and give incredible soft shiny hair.

The aim of the diet is to basically work out your main meal portions as follows.....
Breakfast
This is the very best meal to have your bulk of carbs for 2 reasons...
  1. you have ALL day to burn the carbs off
  2. complex carbs will keep you sattisfied until Lunch time.

The best Choices for breakfasts are as follows.....

(The amount should total the size of your clenched fist)

  • Porridge Oats- Good for you, full of vitamins and Tasty.
  • Wholegrain Cereals such as Branflakes or shredded wheat.
  • Probiotic yoghurt with a tsp of natural honey and sliced bannana and raisins.
  • Home made smoothie with crushed ice, probiotic yoghurt and a selection of 3 fruits.

Its best to AVOID using sugar, if you must sweeten your food try using natural Honey, also it is the perfect alternative and a yummy way to add flavour and sweetness to your morning coffee.

Try to have a glass of water with your breakfast (after is best), and coffee is now believed to help speed up the metabolism, black coffee is believed to cause brittle bones in woman, but the easy solution is to add a drop of semi-skimmed milk to it.

Snack

The mid morning snack will stop you over indulging at lunch time, plus it keeps your metabolism fired up, heres a few ideas for your mid morning snack. (choose one only)
  • 2 medium carrots sliced in to sticks, a great source of vitamins and good for your eyes.
  • 1 medium apple and a tbl spoon of sultana's
  • Small handfull of dried apricots
  • Low fat yoghurt
Lunch
On this meal you want to do your 1st 30/40/30 meal.
30% Lean protien (palm sized)
40% Carbohydrate (Fist Sized)
30% Healthy Fats(Palm Sized)
For the lean protien try to eat one of the following.......
  • Chicken Breast
  • Turkey breast (even better)
  • Tofu (probably the best, but not so tasty)
  • Fish such as Salmon or Tuna.
  • Shellfish such as Prawns, Crab and lobster.
  • Eggs, 2 of any type except fried.

Try to Avoid Red meats such as pork and beef as they are loaded with heart clogging fats, and proccessed foods as they contain alot of added sugar and bad chemicals.

For the Carbohydrates.... (fist Sized)
  • Brown rice or orange lentils
  • Beans of all types (except baked)
  • Wholegrain mixes such as couscous
  • wholegrain or brown Pasta
  • Leafy green veg, The darker veg is healthier.
  • 1 small baked potatoe
  • 1 slice of wholemeal bread

For the healthy Fats.......

  • Probiotic Yoghurt is fab and healthy
  • extra virgin olive oil, though its high in calories
  • polyunsaturated spread or olive oil spread.
  • omega 3 oils found in fish and eggs
Snack
  • A bananna will give you a much needed energy boost.
  • Or if possible have a crushed ice mixed fruit smoothie.
  • Small handful of mixed nuts.
Dinner
Definately the most important meal to abide by! Dont eat late, its best to try to get this meal in within 4 hours of going to bed.
This time its
30% Carb - 40%Protien - 30% Healthy fats
For the protien measure it as an open palm including fingers.
Grilled turkey or chicken breast,
Steammed salmon or tuna steaks
1 cup of prawns or crab meat
Spanish omlette with 3 eggs (whites only)
For The carbs,
2 small palms of the following....
Boiled Brown rice or pasta (wholegrain is best)
1 Cup of thick leafy veg such as spinach or cabbage
4-5 small boiled new potatoes with 1tsp of butter
Broccoli- such a super food and great for your health.
Leafy green salad with tomatoes and onion
Steamed mixed veg such a pak choi and sweede
For the healthy fats,
2 TBLsp of extra virgin olive oil
2 TBLsp of Balsamic vinegarette
1 Tsp of reduced fat unsalted butter
small pot of yoghurt
fruit sorbet (Home-made is best)
Snack
The ideal evening snack to have is STRAWBERRIES, they are a great source of vitamin C, they make your teeth whiter and are just delicious dipped in natural organic honey.
Another great fruit is RASBERRIES, proven to aid weight loss, clear up the skin and give eyes a sparkle to them.
IMPORTANT!
Try to drink at least 6 glasses of water a day (1/2 pint glasses are ideal for this)

Remeber though, for long term results you should team it up with some excersize daily, its not only good for you, but helps get results fast. Try walking for 20 minutes 2 times daily mon - friday. It may not seem like alot, but it really helps tone and shift.

Very Berry Diet-Time of Plan- 7 Days.EWL- between 3-9lbs.This diet is fantastic for shifting those pounds fast, theres a whole array of berries to buy and it will have you not only looking slimmer, but you will feel healthier, look healthier and be healthier.

Berries are full of wonderful viatamins and anti-oxidants that help detoxify the body, cleanse the skin and increase your metabolism.Be warned though, this diet will have you heading for the toilet often for the 1st 2 days, but its well worth it for the end results.

You will have 5 of these a day, so remember variety will keep you on track, different berries = different flavours. If you want to supersize it, just add another handfull of ice, this keeps you feeling full too by tricking your body in to thinking you just consumed a meal sized drink.

Ideally you will want one of them within 20 minutes of waking, then one mid morning, one at lunch, one mid afternoon and one for dinner time.
If you get peckish in between, have as many healthy little berries as you want, easy to carry in a tupperware box and snack on.

It may feel hard at 1st, but its only 7 small days and you will be amazed at the results in the end, seriously, you can drop several inches from the waist, and best off all, its sooooooo healthy the benefits will show in your eyes, nails, hair and skin too.

Fake tan Disater help- Easy, free and quick tips.

So you have just gone and had your self tan done, be it in a salon or at home from a bottle, your all excited to have that healthy celebrity glow, you exfoliate, you scrub, you cleanse and moisturise just like it says to, you apply it just like the instructions show, and you wait for it to dry.A few hours later and.........horror, your gorgeous deep tan has gone a hue of orange in the fluorescent scale, you have stained palms, and your plastered in streaks and patch's.

You dive in to the bath and start to scrub until your skins red raw, but to no avail. Theres no product on the market to remove developed tans, only to fix them while they are still developing.Well after years of using self tans, i have finely tuned the ways in which to remove it easily.

All you will need is 2 medium lemons and some salt, a tub of baking powder (bicarbonate soda) a body buffer, and some body butter (any good moisturiser is fine too).

For the hands, cut a lemon in half and rub the palms, 1 half for each palm, do it in circular motions, pour a table spoon of salt on top of the palm and continue to use the lemon, repeat on other side for about 4 minutes, then rub hands together for a further minute and rinse.

For the body, take the body buffer and sprinkle baking powder on to it, rub the skin gently in circular motion. The baking powder will fizz against the skin on contact and help open the skin up and get the colour out, it removes streaks to perfection, depending on how streaky and orange you are, you may need to do this several times.

For the face, take a clean damp face cloth and run under hot water, place over face for 30 seconds to open pores, dip finger tips in to the baking powder and then gently rub the face in circular motions focusing on the T- zone (chin, nose and forhead) rinse with cold water, then repeat but with salt, rinse with cool water.

To finish, stand under a medium warm shower and fully rinse, lightly rubbing the skin with the body buffer to remove final traces.Dry off and use the moisturizer or body butter all over, use your normal face cream on the face.And ther you go, your now streak free and not looking like the relative of a satsuma.

And the very best part is your skin will be glowing, nourished and cleansed, you will not have oily pores on the face and you will feel a million times better.

How i lost 5lb a week for 6 weeks solid. (NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!)

This is purely informational, i dont personally encourage anyone taking levothyroxine for weightloss (even though i did myself) you should always know the benefits AND the risks, and i have outlined that all here. Anyone who chooses to use levothyroxine for weightloss does so at their own risk, always consult your gp, and research everything you need to know before hand.

ALTHOUGH MY INITIAL RESULTS WERE PLEASING WITH THIS, I ACTUALLY ENDED UP GAINING MORE THAN 6 KILO'S EXTRA THAN I STARTED WITH WHEN I CAME OFF OF THEM!!!!!!
I ALSO SUFFERED SOME CRAZY SIDE EFFECTS INCLUDING STRONG PALPUTATIONS, DIZZINESS, ANXIOUSNESS, INSOMNIA, AND CONSTANT SWEATING AND TREMBLING.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT, IT WAS A METHOD I TRIED FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DO.

Ok, so i have been writing week in week out about all the methods i have tried to lose body fat. The methods that have worked and those that have not.

Before you click away from this page thinking im charging for this info, I'M NOT! Everything i write on this site is 100% free infoand advice, i am sick of people trying to charge others for information that can help them get in to shape, to be slim is everyones right, and i dont believe anyone should pay for it.

Ok, rant over, Today im going to let you in on a little secret of mine, it may not be the best method for weight loss in the eyes of your GP or nutritionist, but as far as im concerned they dont take it seriously when you go to them and say you want to lose weight fast. Now for those of you like me, those who excersise to a good level, eat healthy and just cant shift that body fat, there is a way, and im going to tell you exactly how i done it.

Its all to do with your THYROID gland, your thyroid is what controls your metabolism, how much fat you burn and store etc.

The thyroid gland produces and releases two thyroid hormones: thyroxine (T4) and tri-iodothyronine (T3).

Tri-iodothyronine is the more active thyroid hormone, and thyroxine is converted into T3 in various parts of the body. These hormones are responsible for maintaining a normal rate of metabolism in the body.

When the thyroid gland is unable to produce normal amounts of thyroxine, the level of both thyroid hormones in the blood decreases (hypothyroidism). This results in a reduced rate of metabolism, leading to symptoms such as weight gain, intolerance to cold and tiredness.

Now, this is the bit that interested me enough to try it, i gathered that the medication for an under active thyroid would increase the thyroid hormones to a normal level- and as my thyroid is already at a normal healthy level, it in turn would then give the symptoms of an over active thyroid- This is the scientific part.

An over active thyroid has the opposite effect of an under active one, you lose body fat due to your metabolism going in to overdrive, you will find that you can eat anything you want whenever you want and you still continue to lose weight, wow. Only 6 weeks ago i was wearing jeans with a waist of 34 inches, now im in to 28 inch jeans again, my BMI is now at the lower end of normal and out of the obese section, i have buckets of energy and just feel great.

BUT, you should know all the risks and positives before you attempt to try it, i done extensive research online, i discovered athletes use levothyroxine tablets to become lean and cut before events. The ones i use i purchase online from a pharmacy in canada, it costs about 15 Euro's for a 3 month supply (90 tabs) including shipping etc.

The brand i use are called "ELTROXIN" made by glaxo (the same company that makes beechams cold and flu)

My advice is.........
  • Do not stay on them for more than 6 weeks.
  • Dont exceed 150 mcg (1 1/2 tablets) per day, or you could get toxicosis (poisoning).
  • Take it an hour before eating or drinking anything 1st thing in the morning.
  • Do not do excessive or over strenuous excersise.
  • If you feel strong chest pains, stop taking them at once.
  • palputations are normal when taking this medication as it speeds up the heart increasing the metabolism greatly, ALTHOUGH THIS COULD ALSO INDUCE ANURISM OR HEART ATTACK.

Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways. The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Just because a side effect is stated here does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.Side effects caused by levothyroxine usually only occur if your dose is too high.

chest pain (angina)
awareness of your heart beat (heart palpitations)
abnormal heart beats (arrhythmias)
faster than normal heart beat (tachycardia)
muscle cramps
diarrhoea
vomiting
shaking, usually of the hands (tremor)
restlessness
excitability
difficulty in sleeping (insomnia)
headache
flushing
sweating
fever
intolerance to heat
muscle weakness

But these symptoms are usually very mild and in most cases you wont suffer with them to an extreme, and to outweigh any negatives, the positive is that in as little as 6 weeks you can be uber svelte and slim.

Its best to start of on 50mcg for day 1 (half a tablet) and next day up it too 100mcg, then when your ready to discontinue it, repaet it in reverse and down the levels slowly.

Use with caution in


Elderly people.
Heart disease such as angina, heart failure, irregular heartbeats, or history of heart attacks.
Any condition causing decreased function of the adrenal glands.
Decreased production of all hormones by the pituitary gland (panhypopituitarism).
Diabetes.


Rare disease where there is a problem with the kidneys that causes large amounts of dilute urine to be produced (diabetes insipidus).

This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients.

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.Pregnancy and breastfeedingCertain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy or breastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the unborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, before using any medicine.


Levothyroxine can be taken during pregnancy. However, it is important that pregnant women have regular blood tests to monitor their levels of thyroid hormones during the pregnancy. Thyroid hormones can cross the placenta and excessive levels can be harmful to the developing baby, so it is important to ensure that you are taking the correct dose. Most women whose thyroid hormone levels are in the normal range when they fall pregnant will not need any dose adjustments of their levothyroxine. Seek medical advice from your doctor.


Thyroid hormones pass into breast milk, but in amounts that are too small to affect the nursing baby, or to affect tests for neonatal hypothyroidism. It is safe for women taking this medicine to breastfeed their babies. Seek further medical advice from your doctor.

Weight loss tips for even the weakest dieter

Ever wanted to shift a couple of pounds in as many days? well it is possible, but ask yourself.... is it weight i want to lose or body fat? The truth is anyone can lose 3 pounds in 3 days by cutting back on fluids and drinking only black coffee to expel any excess water weight etc, BUT this wont actually decrease your body size per se, it will just change the dial on the scales.

There are ways that have been proven to help reduce weight loss, some are easier to follow than others, rather than go all scientific and indepth on the subject, i am going to summerize it in pretty basic terms, the info will be the same, just the way to follow it will be easier.

So here are my top 5 tried and tested diet methods for that quick fix on weightloss, and for longer term results too.

# Fistfull of food Diet.

Its as simple as its named, in fact the name says it all. You eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, just the 3 meals.

  • For breakfast have a bowl of ceral, scoop out 1 handfull of cereal from the box, and use semi-skimmed milk 1/2 glass (not a pint glass dear, lol) or 1 piece of fruit fist sized.
  • For lunch have 2 handfulls of salad greens, and 1 handfull accompanying food (1 tin of tuna or salmon is best) so long as it is no larger than your fist when clenched. treat yourself to an apple or something too.
  • For dinner have yourself 1 handfull of steamed greens, 1 chicken breast portion (size of fist remember) 1 handfull of cubed carrot and peas, and one small fist sized potatoe (baked not deep fried)

So you get the idea right, it should be 1 for breakfast, 3 for lunch and 3 for dinner, the way it works is that your stomach empty is the size of your clenched fist, and many people eat 6-7 times the stomach size in food every lunch and dinner. follow for a week, replace foods as you please, just remember the rule: If its bigger than the fist, give it a miss.

# 6pm Cut off Diet.

  • basically you are encouraged to eat all carbs before 12 noon (breakfast and early lunch) so you can have that bar of candy, bag of crisps etc before noon, then for 2pm eat an apple or pear, and then have your final meal of the day before 6pm.
  • breakfast 7am-8am
  • lunch 11am-12pm
  • snack 1pm-2pm
  • dinner 5pm-6pm
  • 6pm + eat nothing

This idea works on the fact that you can easily burn off all of the days calories before you sleep (say you sleep at 10.30pm) this also gives your body a chance to digest and process your food, they say that sleeping on a full stomach means your body will increase the fat storage.

#3 The protien Diet.

This diet is very much like the atkins and you will see amazingly fast results by following it.

  • cut out all refined flours and sugars, forget the white bread and coffee for breakfast, infact anything made from wheat flour is a no go.
  • Try having large celery sticks x 10 with a honey and mustard mayonaise for breakfast, or perhaps a tin of tunafish with some mayo mixed in wrapped in an omlette,
  • for lunch focus on eating chicken breast/pork/beef and a side serving of spanish eggs and mushrooms, finished off with some kale salad mix.
  • For dinner, enjoy omlette made from egg whites, mix in some onion and minced pork/chicken and 2 chillies diced (Thai omlette) bake a chicken breast, and have a cupfull of brocolli- enjoy with a glass of soy milk which is full of protien goodness.

This diet increases lean body mass and decreases body fat content like nobodies business, i myself lost more than 9 pounds in just 11 days, plus its so easy to follow.

#4 The iced Diet

perhapson of the best quick shift diets i followed....ever, this is a little trick my friends all do to drop a dress size or 2 in a matter of days, and after i gave it a go i was amazed at how much weight loss i could achieve on it. Though DO NOT try to follow it for more than 7 days in any fortnight or you will be thin but look a bit rough!

  • for breakfast take a blender and a bag of ice cubes, one tangy fruit like a mango or sweet grapefruit, peel the fruit and place in blender, then fill halfway with ice and 2 eggcups of water, pop in a couple of grapes and 4 tablesppons of raisens, then blend away to make a shake, pour into a glass and drink with a straw.
  • for lunch repeat as breakfast, but change the fruit to something like pineapple rings and add 2 celery sticks, whisk away and drink.
  • for dinner, take 1 banana, 1 apple, some destoned cherries (about 5) and about 30 grapes, add the ice and water, get blending away and enjoy your dinner.
  • iff you get peckish at all just suck on 2 or 3 icecubes, add a little fruit juice to the ice tray before freezing for some juicy treats.

This really is an amazing way to lose weight, it may sound a little plain or not so exciting, but belive me it works, and if you can follow this diet for 7 days then you totally deserve to wear that gorgeous dress. more than everyone else, after all....they eat carbs.

#5 The colour Diet

The final diet that i tried and that actually worked was this one, now it takes a few days to kick in but i just loved it, the choices were great and it just did not get boring for me. I followed it for 4 weeks on a 7 day cycle.

Monday: The red food pigments, such as Lycopene, are powerful antioxidants that combat the toxins that trigger some cancers :

Today is the day that everything you eat MUST be red, such as Tomatoes, Beetroot, Cherries, Red grapes, Red meats, and so on, if its red, put it on that plate.

Tuesday: Green is associated with the heart and is thought to be beneficial for the prevention of heart disease and high blood pressure.

so today you eat only green foods, celery, salad greens, brocolli, green grapes, apples, pears, if its green, on the plate its to be seen.

Wednesday: Eat White as its believed that it alleviates emotional shock and despair, and brings peace and comfort at the highest level:

so you want to focus on White meats such as chicken/turkey, fish, potatoes, cauliflower, white grapes, parsnips etc.

Thursday: Orange foods are high in anti-oxidants that help to destroy toxic cells and repair some cellular damage.

you want to load up on carrots, pumpkin, squashes, oranges, clemantines, sweet potatoes, turnips etc.

Friday: A lower risk of some cancers, a healthy heart, a healthy immune system, and healthy vision are thought to be some of the benefits of eating yellow coloured foods such as :

barley, buckwheat, chickpeas, cornmeal, millet, oats, parsnips, yellow lentils, yellow peppers, yellow potatoes, yellow tomatoes, and wheat, fruits include lemons, melons, pineapples, yellow apples and banan's.

Saturday: Blue foods are thought to maintain urinary health, healthy aging, assist in the memory function, and lower the risk of some types of cancer.

load up on plums, blue grapes, rosemary garlic potatoes, blueberries, chokecherries and kale, sage is also a good blue food.

Sunday: eating indigo coloured foods is useful for the treatment of diseases of the eyes, ears, and nose, as well as the lungs and skin.

fill that plate with, lentils and black beans,Endive, mushrooms, olives, soy beans, grapes, and herbs such as Anise hyssop, chives, English lavender, rosemary.

Its a fun way to lose weight, and you will come across new foods you would not have nesceseraly tried before, a fab way to lose those pounds, reduce the body fat and increase your health and mental wellbeing.
