Aged only 31 Eva Longoria looks 10 years older than that in the first image, she infact easily looks older than her co-stars on Desperate Housewives.
But with a little bit of Make-up the Plain jane she appears to be transforms her into a raven haired latina beauty.
Longoria, the face of L'oreal is rarely seen looking less than perfect, and we have decided we would enlighten all the "plain janes" out there with a few tips on transforming yourself into a natural beauty (well ok, maybe not natural, but what does it matter? Below are a few beauty tips and tricks that will have you looking sleek and sassy in next to no time, and the best part is that you dont even need to invest in too much make-up.
The Most Important Thing To Remember
Do highlight your best features. Longoria, for example, shows off her legs, not her cleavage. If it’s your eyes, play them up. If you have full lips, show them off with a gloss. Don’t use a thick concealer, it will settle into fine lines highlighting your flaws and make you appear much older than you want people to assume you are.
The Face Base:
Using a liquid foundation apply it to the cheeks, nose forehead and chin (we recommend Max Factors "Miracle Touch") Then take a lightly dampened make-up sponge and buff it into the skin in an outwards motion, Then take a light and loose powder foundation and using a fluffy wool pad lightly dust the face. Make sure you dont overload it near the eyes or mouth.
Take a dry cloth and gently wipe the face to take off any excess powder. Next using a nice bronzing powder gently apply to the apples of the cheeks (temples to nose) and buff in in a circular motion, then apply to the narrow of the nose, and forehead (T-Zone) and lightly accross the outer jaw line. This gives a healthy, dewy and bronzed look thats very natural.
The Eyes:
Using a shimmery medium brown,apply with a brush not a sponge applicator, the sponge applicator will apply the colour to come out too dark. On the skin between your lid and brow use a sheer brown( do not put the shadow under the shaped part of your brow) Under the brow where it is shaped use a pearly or opal white shadow to highlight the brow. Use a Dark brown mascrara, just a little so it completes the look, and maybe a light brown eyeliner to define your eyes and give them a wide and fresh look.
The lips:
The lips are usually the first and main thing people notice, partly because its where conversation comes from, and partly because the lips are probably the most attractive feature on a womans face. Its best to keep your lips very natural looking using pastel colours in light browns, pearly pinks and nudes.
Do Not line the lips, this is not a desirable look and can actually make you appear older than you really are, its best to use a light pinky brown as a base coat, and apply a pearl pink just along the center of the lips (over the top of the base colour), pop the lips together and then apply a medium wet look Clear gloss to seal the clour in place. The light middle colour over the darker base enhances depth, width and volume to the lips without the need to use a lip liner.
The Hair:
If you have naturally dark hair, use a temporary 6 wash hair dye, these contain no harsh chemicals and wont damage the hair. Use a dye once a fortnight in a rich bronzed brown or golden brown to bring out your hairs natural highlights, this also adds depth and mega shine to your hair.
Wella & Nice & Easy do a great range of temporary colours for all hair colours, the dyes deeply condition your hair from root to tip adding much needed nourishment and shine. When washing your hair always end it with a Cold Water Rinse for atleast 60 seconds to seal the hair shaft and smooth cuticles. (a great way to stop split ends)
Style it:
Using Jumbo sized roller, wash your hair and dry until damp, brush the hair and placing the first roller take a chunk of hair about 2-3 inches wide (the roller should go on top of the hair and wind Clockwise up towards the root, the bigger the roller the better the curly volume will be. using these all over (roughly 6 to each side and 5 acrros the top and back)
Apply some mouse throught the hair and lightly spray with a non hard hairspray, blow dry on a gentle heat for about 5 minutes and then leave in for a further 20 mins, take out rollers, finger into position and your ready to go.
The Fabulous Finish:
Use a fine glitter mist and spray in to the air for about 4-5 seconds and then stand under the falling glitter looking up at the ceiling for a simply gorgeous shimmer. repaet agin this time looking forwards for it to add ultimate sparkle to you hair.
